Courage is one of the first virtues of leadership success. Leaders require courage to make bold decisions even when there are dissenters, to say what needs to be said no matter the consequences, and to place their trust in those they manage. The Courageous Leadership workshop introduces a new organizational development practice called courage-building, guiding participants to:

  • Learn about the three different types of courage and when (and how) to use each.
  • Gain insight into your own “courage history” so you can use your past to strengthen your future.
  • Understand the impact fear has on personal and organizational performance.
  • Learn about two distinct ways of leading, and approaches for inspiring more courageous behavior among the people with whom you work.
  • Develop an action plan for extending the value of the workshop.
  • Step up to challenges more readily, embrace change more fully, and speak up more assertively.
  • Become a courageous leader

As a new professional discipline, courage-building is predicated on the assumption that people perform better when they are behaving courageously than when they are anxious and afraid. To be a courage-builder, however, you have to role model courageous behavior.

By learning to apply the strategies and approaches that are introduced in the Courageous Leadership Workshop, and then applying them in your context, you will help people step up to challenges more readily, embrace change more fully, and speak up more assertively. When you put your courage to work, and when you step past the threshold of your zone of comfort, the entire ministry benefits.

Details –

  • This Workshop can be experienced in a 1/2 Day or Full Day format.
  • This Workshop includes –
    • The Courageous Leadership Profile assessment tool for up to 5 participants. (8 pages)
      • Developed in conjunction with the Courageous Leadership Workshop, this self-rated assessment measures the ways one currently applies courage and where opportunities exist for one to apply it more frequently and in different ways. Participants will assess which of the three types of courage (TRY, TRUST, TELL) they use most often, and which they need to use more.
    • The Courageous Leadership Workbook for up to 5 participants. (80 pages)
      • Designed to work within the context of The Courageous Leadership Workshop, The Courageous Leadership Workbook helps you understand the Learn about the three different types of courage and when (and how) to use each and then develop within yourself the qualities of a true leader.
    • Fully facilitated experience for you and your team.
      • No worries for you. You just add space, people and a few supplies.
  • Add additional participants for a nominal fee.

1/2  Day Leadership Development Workshop – $899

Additional participant fee – $109 each

Full Day Leadership Development Workshop – $1199

Additional Participant fee – $107.50 each
